About Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009

Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 lists the substances that may be used in cosmetic products only under specific conditions defined by the European legislator. For each entry, the annex establishes the maximum permitted concentration, the product categories in which use is authorised (rinse-off or leave-on, use on children, etc.), the applicable additional conditions, and the mandatory labelling warnings that the manufacturer must include. A prior safety assessment by the SCCS is a prerequisite for any modification to this list. Restrictions may vary depending on the area of application — hair, skin, mucous membranes — and the target population — adults, children under three years of age. BD-API allows Responsible Persons to verify in real time whether their formulations comply with the current conditions of Annex III, integrating CosIng information into their audit workflows. Restriction conditions like these change

A new maximum concentration or product-type condition turns a compliant formula into a non-compliant one overnight. BD-API delivers every Annex III change to your system via API, webhooks and automated alerts.
