Recent analyses mentioning this ingredient
- SeguimientoConsejo científico SCCS · 30 de junio de 2025SCCS - Scientific Advice on the safety of Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate - DHHB – S83

About Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009
Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 contains the list of ultraviolet filters authorised for use in cosmetic products in the European Union. UV filters are substances added specifically to protect the skin and hair from the harmful effects of UV radiation, whether through absorption, reflection or dispersion. Only filters included in this annex may be used for that purpose; their use in other cosmetic categories without a sun-protection function may be subject to additional regulations. Each entry defines the maximum permitted concentration and, in some cases, the product categories or specific use restrictions. The SCCS evaluates the safety of each UV filter prior to its inclusion or modification in the annex. BD-API monitors changes to Annex VI and notifies Responsible Persons via automatic alerts, ensuring the ongoing compliance of sunscreen products and other products containing UV-protection components.
