No aplica a partículas aciculares (tipo aguja). Las empresas que usen hidroxiapatita en productos de higiene oral deben verificar que su material cumpla exactamente con estas especificaciones físicas; cualquier variación de forma o recubrimiento requeriría una nueva evaluación de seguridad.
